The naturalized species listed below are known to nest regularly in parts of California, but have not yet been reviewed by the CBRC or accepted as being well-established in the state, as defined in Section VI. B (8) of the CBRC Bylaws (see Appendix A). Information on these species was provided by Garrett and Dunn (1981), Hamilton and Willick (1996), Garrett (1997), AOU (1998:680), National Geographic Society (2002:456), Roberson (2002:480–481), Pranty and Garrett (2003), and Unitt (2004).
